Yet Another Wedding Album

I am a scrapbooker. I love making mini albums. This is what I do. Its fun. If I have to look at wedding paper in the next … year … I’m going to scream!! 😉 Six (count them, SIX) wedding albums in a row! Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy making each and every one, but OMG can we pick a different theme please 🙂

This one was made for one of the lovely ladies at work. This is the second one for her. It was a gift from her to the bride and groom. I love Graphic 45 paper and although this collection isn’t wedding, I thought it fit just nice. Lindy thought so to when I gave it to her! I did seriously consider making a video of this one, but I’ll be honest, I really just didn’t feel like it!

This is made using Graphic 45 A Ladies Diary collection paper with some of the chipboard embellishments to go with it. Everything that I used in this mini, came from my stash! Bonus!!

I have made myself a junk journal as my next project. Something relatively simple and a lot quicker to make than a mini album. I did make a video for the junk journal 🙂 Its rendering now…. I should write the post for it then huh….

Mini Album Scrapbooking – 5×7 Wedding Album

A few weeks ago now I made a mini album for one of the girls at work. She got married at the end of November and her new mother in law was unable to attend the wedding so this mini album was to be a gift for her. Awesome, No Pressure then!

I used Prima’s Something Blue paper collection with added bling and flowers etc from my stash. I think it came out great!

I took it to my monthly scrapbook group with the intention of finishing it off. Once I got there I realised that the book I made to decorate was still on my work desk at home 😦 I had to make the book again and then start the decoration. Luckily the group runs all day so with some concentration and a little hard work I did manage to get it almost finished. I had to break out the hot glue gun to stick the flowers on when I got home but otherwise I got it finished in a day! Woot!

Anyway, I love the way it came out and Im looking forward to the next project. I will say though, Im getting REAL sick of making wedding albums! 🙂 Ive made….maybe 5 (in a row) so far and I have one more to do (also on commission) then I may have to call it quits for a while. I have a gift project in mind for the daughter of a friend and there’s a couple of paper lines that I want to use to make something for myself.

Right now though, Im trying to figure out my filming issues! I can’t continue to film holding my iPad… I still can’t find the tripod attachment for my phone and I have no way to position a camera above me to film from the best angle….. I’ll have to think about it some more and try and MacGyver something together.

The World is on Fire

There have been a lot of fires in my state recently. This one, however, came a little too close for comfort!

Im standing at the entrance to the train station to take this photo. The station is two streets from my house…. way too close for comfort!

The all Important Bucket List

Ok, so this is the most important thing that I wanted to copy from the old blog. My 40 before 40 list. Obviously I have a copy of this on paper but I want to have it on my blog as well. I like to read about what other people have chosen for their lists so I thought someone may find mine interesting. It also helps keep me accountable so I will actually do these things!

I’m not going to import all of the old posts about my putting this list together, but I may make a page for this list and a short writeup of what I have accomplished so far.

I first came up with the plan for putting my own list together from reading the 30 before 30 list that Delanie wrote for herself. I also found her 30 while 30 list just as inspiring. I must take a moment to thank both Delanie and her mother Marilyn for making some awesome suggestions for my list. Without them I would not have been able to put together a complete selection.

The full list is here.

New Year, New Goals, New Blog

Happy New Year!! Yeah, I know, it’s a little late to be saying that but I’m running a little behind the game here. One of my goals for 2015 is to blog more consistently and I’ve been preparing some ideas for what I can post about. When it came time to write the posts, I went to my sadly neglected blog and realised that I really didn’t like it. There is nothing that I can really do to fix it, there’s just so much that I don’t like the easiest thing to do is just delete it and start again. So that is what I am going to do.

There are a few things that I would like to keep from the old blog, things that I would like to move across, so I will organise that first then it’s adios to the old! 🙂
